Coil Winder Technician is responsible for tooling changes/setups, machine and tooling troubleshooting, and setup of all tooling changes as applicable to insure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment, resulting in finished product that adheres to the quality standards of Georg Fischer LLC.
The Coil Winder Tech will have an understanding of all facets of the operation of Coil Winding and the capabilities to lead and train other employees in the functions of their respective positions in Coil Winding.
Changeover of tooling.
Troubleshoot all operating equipment.
Process all materials.
Start-up and shut down of machinery.
Works with minimum supervision.
Ensure that proper materials are used at each machine.
Make sure all accessory equipment is set-up properly (material feeds, scales, etc.
).
Maintain safe operation such as safety switches, electrical wiring on tooling etc.
Maintain set-up records on tools, preventative maintenance and run profiles.
Adjust machines to produce quality products.
Capable of learning to operate all equipment within the department.
Perform duties as assigned.
Report any safety problems to Supervisor.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized area.
Supports the established quality policy
Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions.
Must meet all requirements of a Coil Winding Technician.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely.
Ability to process an injection molding machine, making adjustments to the process to ensure that quality is met.
Experience in plastic processing preferred.
Capable of obtaining a thorough knowledge of the machine and tooling functions/interactions, all preventative maintenance on machine tools.
Perform set-ups/process all applicable jobs, and facilitate efficient operation of the equipment.
