JOB DESCRIPTION - MANUFACTURING Title: Welder A Department: Weld Reports to: Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Overview of Position Joins metal parts and fills seams and holes through the process of mig welding Description of Duties and Job Responsibilities Fit and position weldments having a number of parts, using welding fixtures and jigs where applicable.
Usually work with medium size bases and frames, structural steel, and plate steel weldments of varied description, etc.
Work from drawings and job layouts.
Use rule, square, templates, and gauges.
Requires knowledge of welding principles and techniques.
Take direction and receive approval from supervisor.
Operate cranes and hoists.
